It was a deeply sad moment for Sheriff's candidate Jimoh Ibrahim in the Ondo governorship race having been abandoned by the Party's National Chairman following the recent court ruling in favor of Jegede from Makarfi's faction of the PDP.
Sheriff while addressing Journalists on Thursday after a Supreme Court affirmation of Jegede as the substantive candidate of the PDP, said he has no business with the court ruling as the case is between Jimoh and Jegede. He also pledges to abide by any decision of court.
"The issue is between Jegede and Jimoh Ibrahim. We are not party to it. We will abide by any decision of court, we are law-abiding citizens," Sheriff said.
The battle on who the substantive candidate of the PDP in the coming Ondo governorship election has been a contentious issue until the affirmation of Eyitayo Jegede of the Makarfi led faction of the PDP by the Supreme Court.
From the look of things at the moment following Sheriff's pledge to abide by any court ruling, the controversy on who represents the PDP can be said have been duly laid to rest leaving Jimoh Ibrahim out in the cold.
