Alhaji Balarabe Musa, one of Buhari's major critic, has yet again expressed worries that instead of the Buhari let administration to focus on providing good governance in the country especially at these difficult times in the history of the country, the government seemed to be carried away by its ambition to remain in power beyond 2019. He also said if the president thinks he can easily win any election, simply because he's the one in charge, then he should brace up because Nigerians will disgrace him at the polls if he fails to live up to the expectations of Nigerians.
Speaking on APC's national chairman Odigie Oyegun's claim that no body can defeat Buhari in any election, he said, "It is laughable that Oyegun can speak so foolishly despite the obvious fact that the APC government is yet to live up to the expectations of Nigerians.
"Where did he (Oyegun) got his convictions from? Is it only him and the President's family that will cast the votes? Unless that is the case, the only thing I'm sure will happen is that Nigerians will disgrace not only the president, but the APC as a party in the coming election.
"It is irresponsible to shift attention to 2019 when a government hasn't done enough to win the trust of the masses. In fact, I am even surprised that Nigerians didn't embark on a nationwide protest despite the hardship, hunger, poverty, and pain inflicted on them by the present administration which promised them a better living condition if voted to power. Maybe it's because Nigerians are still giving the president some more time. But be rest assured that anger can push people to the limit.
"I am not against Buhari's government, but it's my desire to see that the right things are being done for the good of everyone. Performance is the only way to win the hearts of Nigerians not merely making empty boast," he added.
