All is certainly not well at the moment between President Muhammadu Buhari and his wife Aisha. Aisha who in an interview with BBC Hausa stated that she'll withdraw her support for her husband if he fails to reshuffle his cabinet, may not have expected the issue to have escalated to the level it is at moment. In reality, she for the love of her husband, may have meant well with her statement, but the President's disastrous response showed there's much between the two than what we really know.
To show how terrible Buhari's response is, one of America's popular newspapers 'The Washington Post', described Buhari as more 'problematic' than its nation's presidential candidate Donald Trump.
In an article covering the feud between President Buhari and his wife, the US Washington Post said, "If you think Donald Trump has problems, consider those of Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari. Elected last year as a no - nonsense candidate to clean up Africa ' s biggest democracy , his popularity has fallen amid various spiraling crises — a faltering economy , a deadly insurgency, a devastating famine. And now , even his wife is skeptical."
Apart from the American media, Buhari's shocking statement also attracted the attention of other international news media.
Buhari was reported to have made his remarks in the company of German Chancellor Angela Merkel who glared and then, briefly, laughed.
