Benjamin Apugo, a BoT member of the All Progressives Congress APC, has stated in an interview with Daily Trust that despite the fact that Buhari mean well for the nation, he however made certain mistakes especially in his appointments. He said Buhari’s mistake was the appointment of people who don't even their places and thus to fit for such appointments.
He said, "We feel that the way the president followed to appoint some people was not good. It's not that they're not representing the states, but they don't know their places. That is the mistake, but I believe Mr President will correct that type of mistake.
" Your assessment of this government seems to be one-sided because before APC came in, it promised to address three things, namely, insecurity, unemployment and economy.
"It appears only one is being tackled. On the economy, we don't look at things the way they are. The recession wasn't caused by Mr President or the APC-led government, because it was there before we came. Everything that Nigerians were told before we came was false. This man came and opened up everything for Nigerians to see." He added.
