Former Aviation minister Fani-Kayode has in a furious reaction on the failed PDP National convention scheduled to take place yesterday, August 17th, accused the Buhari administration of working "to destabilise, destroy and silence the opposition'' in the country. He also alleged that the APC’s role in the botched convention" was well planned, well-orchestrated and well-executed."
Speaking on how to deal with factional chairman Ali Modu Sheriff whom he said is playing the script of APC, Kayode made it clear that negotiating with Sheriff is not an option. He however said the only solution is to fight Sheriff in court and elsewhere. He also hinted that if need be, forming another party won't be a bad idea.
He said, "The only solution to this intractible and difficult problem is for us to continue to fight him in the courts and elsewhere and, if push comes to shove, form another political party, get our members and supporters to join that party and leave the desperate old scavanger to feed on the carcass of the old PDP.
He added saying, "Very few people will stay with him because, after some time, carcasses tend to stink and because he is the quintessential plague. After some time even his most diehard supporters will get sick of him, run away and abandon him."
