The newly elected president of the Anambra Indigenous Welfare Association (ASIWA), Chief Sir Humphrey M. Okoli, said Governor Nasir el-Rufa’i has lived up to expectations.
Okoli, who stated this during his acceptance speech, said for the fact that the governor was able to maintain peace in the state, he has tried tremendously.
“Wherever they are, all that the Igbos want is peace, and this we have seen in Governor Nasir el-Rufai,” he said.
“No community will progress under crisis. We, the Igbos, want to identify with the governor for making sure that enduring peace exists in Kaduna for the past one year,” he added.
Chief Okoli, therefore, advised Anambra indigenes resident in Kaduna, and all the Igbos in general to be law abiding at all times.
