Former President Goodluck Jonathan, on Wednesday, arrived Nigeria after spending some weeks abroad- the United Kingdom and Côte d'Ivoire.
It was gathered that he arrived the country through the Port Harcourt International Airport, Rivers State.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) also announced Jonathan’s return in a tweet yesterday. The tweet read: “The hero of our democracy is back home.” There were reports recently that Jonathan had gone on exile in Cote d’Ivoire.
It said that the former president was running from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over corruption cases. Jonathan denied the report, saying, “I’m not on exile. I have no cause to go on exile. It is a wicked and malicious report.” Jonathan was said to have travelled to the United Kingdom and Côte d’Ivoire.
