A former member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential campaign committee from Kano State, Malam Abdullahi Ali Kano, said yesterday that the exit of Sen Ali Modu Sheriff, as the party’s national chairman, means the opposition party will regain its lost glory.
He said all patriotic members of the party had registered their disapproval of Sheriff’s leadership style, and that with his exit, the PDP will reclaim its glory as the largest political party in Africa.
“We are optimistic that the party will go back to its original status. We believe that the Ahmed Makarfi-led PDP will reach out to all aggrieved members and the party’s founding fathers,” he said.
