A political pressure group, Kaduna Democrats Forum (KDF) has taken a swipe on the Senator. Representing Kaduna Central senatorial district, Senator Shehu Sani for the statement credited to him in the media as saying President Muhammadu Buhari “lied” in the clearance of Secretary to Government of the Federal Government, David Babachir Lawal over the alleged grass cutting contract.
The group in a statement made available to LEADERSHIP in Kaduna on Monday, took exception to what it called the use of “immature and abusive language by a lawmaker of the Federal Republic” and expressed “disgust” over Senator Shehu Sani’s “deployment of pedestrian language”.
Signed by its Chairman, Ahmed Abdullahi, the statement called on the people of Kaduna Central to “wake up, to the reality that their supposed representative is openly insulting this country’s President over a simple matter of administrative enquiry”.
He urged the voters of Kaduna Central to “save themselves from further embarrassment by voting out the politically-inconsistent and loquacious lawmaker in 2019”.
Ahmed also queried why the Senator is insulting members of his own party in the media on regular basis, saying “some days ago it was Governor Elrufai that he was insulting, now he is moving a step upward by taking on our president, who is away for medical attention abroad”.
Senator Sani’s criticism against the President over the clearance of Babachir has gone viral on the social media and other news platforms in recent weeks.
