President Muhammadu Buhari has assured Nigerians that the current economic recession in the country will soon be a thing of the past.
The President gave this assurance at the All Progressives Congress (APC), governorship campaign grand finale rally at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, the Edo State capital on Tuesday.
The Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces said the Federal Government will continue to ensure the stability of the country noting that the Edo State has not witnessed the kind of development that it has witnessed since its creation under Governor Adams Oshiomhole.
“We are a nation of great human and material resources especially the youth. We have no other nation like Nigeria, no matter where you go.
“I congratulate Mr Obaseki, a seasoned person, and I recommend him to you so that you will continue to grow.
“I assure you we are going to get out of this our economic problem and we are going to make Nigeria great again. We are going to be very proud of our country and our size and resources will not be for nothing,” the President said to cheers from the jam-packed Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, venue of the rally.
Present at the grand finale rally included the governors of Sokoto, Kogi, Kebbi, Niger, Kaduna, Plateau, Benue, Ogun, Kano, Kastina states, Ministers of state Petroleum, Dr Ibe Kachukwu, Minister of State Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire, Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, Minister of Science and Technology, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu, past and serving Senators, House of Representatives members, party leaders, members of the National Working Committee and others.
