Former Minister of Finance, Mallam Adamu Ciroma has said that despite losing the 2015 presidential election, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has continued to occupy political discourse in the country.
Inversely, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), according to him, has not been able to put its act together, and has continued to blame its failure on PDP.
“PDP didn’t lose, APC didn’t win because when you talk of politics people talk about PDP as if APC does not exist,” he said.
Mallam Ciroma, who spoke on Monday when he received the Chairman and members of PDP Board of Trustees (BoT), noted that APC is not playing the right role as party in government, adding that APC will continue to make a lot of mistakes.
He advised PDP leaders to be ready to correct them when the party returns to power in 2019.
The former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor recalled that he warned PDP leaders, during the 2015 general elections, to be prepared for any eventuality, advised politicians to have the interest of the ordinary people in mind.
