The embattled lawmaker, in a tweet on his Twitter handle, advised President Muhammad Buhari to resign in view of his health challenge and failure to discharge his responsibility as president.
Worried by the lawmaker’s comments, APC – Kano chapter announced that it would take disciplinary action against him, a decision that did not go down well with the people of his constituency.
During their protested, youths of Kiru/Bebeji constituency warned against sanction against Jibrin, saying he only voiced out the opinion of millions of Nigerians.
The youths clapped and shouted “Sai Maliya”, Jibrin’s campaign slogan, and sang solidarity songs in unison.
