Atiku arrives Nigeria from Washington DC, ready for debate

Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has arrived in Nigeria after his trip to the US.

The former vice-president is back in time for the presidential debate which will take place 7pm.

The aircraft conveying Atiku and Senate President Bukola Saraki landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja at about 3pm.

TheCable had earlier reported that he departed from the US after a town hall meeting with Nigerians in Washington DC.

Lai Mohammed, minister of information, on Friday said Atiku will be grilled upon his return to the country.

The federal government has accused him of playing a part in the collapse of former Bank PHB.
