A PDP aspirant for the yet to be declared Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency by-election, Engr. Bashir Abubakar Mohammed, has called on the electorate to shun money bag politicians and vote their consciences in the forthcoming election.
He spoke, yesterday, in Lokoja at a news conference where he said the era when politicians deceived the electorate with peanuts to get their votes only to abandon them when in power was now over.
“Take the example of the recent recall of Senator Dino Melaye; people collected the money but refused to do the bidding of the sponsors of the recall.
“Take for example, in my own unit, they got zero because the people did not believe in the recall,” he said.
