A Member of the Kano State House of Assembly, Dr. Baffa Babba Dan’agundi (APC, Kano Municipal), yesterday, described Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a symbol of national unity and a frontline politician.
Dan’agundi said Tinubu had built lasting political bridges “through immeasurable alliances across divides in the country.”
Speaking during a reception for some APC members from across the 44 local government areas of the state held in honour of Tinubu, Dan’agundi said Tinubu’s contributions towards the development of democracy in Nigeria would forever remain in Nigeria’s history books as a man who stood for what the majority of citizens wanted.
“We decided to celebrate the living icon in Kano to give our members who could not travel to Lagos the chance to be part of his 66th year birthday celebration. However, we intend to make this an annual event here. We want to let the world know that Nigerians respect and treasure people who believe in it,” he said.
