It was another rain of mass cross carpeting and transfer season as thousands of Gasol citizens moved from APC to PDP today in Taraba State.
This is coming barely a month after the party received personalities of repute from the APC who decamped to PDP in Kurmi LG.
His Excellency the Deputy Governor Enrg Haruna Manu addressing the decampees in Mutum Biyu town of Gasol LG said he was not surprise of there return because the APC has failed in their governing promises and has brought about unthoughtful suffering and hardship in the nation.
Manu express his gratitude saying they are welcome and will be giving a level playing grounds as full members of the PDP. The Deputy Governor prayed the newly received convert to play according to the rules of the party adding that PDP is a party known for fairness, justice, equity and transparency. Haruna ended by asking them to immediately key into the Rescue mission of Governor Ishaku in other to have more hands to deliver the needed dividend of Democracy to the state.
The state PDP chairman Hon Victor Bala Kona addressing them also expressed his profound joy for the decision taken by them to return home, he applauded there courage saying the only viable party in the state is PDP. Bala told them that they will be treated the same way all party members are treated because in PDP everybody is somebody and equity leads under his leadership. He encouraged them to join the Rescue train of Governor Ishaku because it has since been on the fast lane of development.
Speaking on behalf of the decampess Alh Musa Tobi, Alh musilum, and Gaga spoke in the same tune saying they left the APC for PDP because they could no longer bear the dicit, they said APC is a party build on lies, propaganda and it lacks a true blue print of leading the masses. They Went ahead to note that the 16 years of PDP has been vindicated by the two years reign of the APC adding that hunger, poverty and crime is been on the high side under the APC government, confessing that they were not offended by the PDP as at when they left. Musilum assured the PDP that they will do there best in supporting the party to add more flavor to the already enjoyed one by the members.
They ended by saying they are overwhelmed returning home and plead with the PDP leadership and to there son the Deputy Governor to forget what has happened in the past noting that the were deceived but now have learn the hard lesson, they said PDP is home and every known politician can attest to that and there is no place like home. They thank the leadership of the party for sending such a high placed delegation to received them saying they are honored and will in turn work to uphold the honor.
Meanwhile this is coming barely 8 days to the PDP National convention which will produce the next chairmanship of the great party and the above defection is a plus to the PDP.
