Former Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Deputy National chairman North and former Senator representing Jigawa North West Senatorial district, Abdullahi Danladi Sankara has defected to All Progressive Congress ,APC, with over 8700 supporters from Nigeria’s biggest opposition party, PDP.
The defectees were received by the National Chairman of All Progressive Congress ,APC, Chief John oyegun represented by APC Deputy National Chairman North West, Senator Lawan Shu’aibu alongside Jigawa State Governor, Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, APC State Chairman Alh Aso Sani Kiri and other party stakeholders.
Others at the occasion includes Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje as well as Deputy Governors of Zamfara and Katsina states.
Commenting on at the occasion Senator Abdullahi Danladi Sankara explained that the good leadership of Governor Muhammadu Badaru Abubakar and All Progressive Congress APC are the reason of his decision.
He also promised to be loyal to party leadership and will give his contributions to the development of the party at state and National level.
Jigawa state APC chairman Alh Ado Sani Kiri explained that this is clear indications that the APC is meeting the yarning and aspiration of Nigerians.
He said Peoples Democratic Party is dead in Jigawa also assured that the party can not win a single seat in the next 2019 general election.
