PDP Peace Move Threatened As Modu-Sheriff Rejects Resignation Option

National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ali Modu-Sheriff has stated clearly that giving up his seat as solution to the crisis in the party is not going to be part of the peace deal being put together in finding a united front for the party.

Though, the Appeal Court reinstated national chairman has openly agreed that the suggested political solution to the crisis as put forward at a meeting between the governors of the party and former president Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday night was a good one, he, however, disclosed that the news that he will give up his seat, while the caretaker committee chairman, Ahmed Makarfi does same, as sacrifice for the party has never been on the card.

He made the clarifications through a statement issued by the Acting National Publicity Secretary of the party under his leadership, Hon Bernard Mikko.
