The frontline opposition voice in Kogi State and National Cordinator PDP Youth frontiers Usman Okai Austin has accused governor Yahaya Bello of running a secret detention camp inside his office and an act considered illegal and Undermines the Rule of Law .
Okai accused Governor Bello of abusing the executive power by locking up opposition figures in an arbitrary manner.
Governor Bello has currently in his detention camp the like Alhaji Mohammed Barga the zonal vice chairman of the PDP Kogi west , a former vice chairman of Okene Local government, Hon Usman Okorongo has been under detention in government house for some days now.
We want to draw the attention of the Inspector General of Police and National Human Rights Commission to this gross abuse of human rights currently on going in Kogi state.
The operators of this secret detention are called Swift Response Squard, Yahaya Bello once threatened to treat students or whoever went against him like kidnappers and he is now implementing his threat . The APC should caution Bello as the good citizens of the state will not be force to take law into their hands , Yahaya Bello inherited Late Audu votes after the demise of Audu and is expected of him to be magnanimous instead he has turned to a full blown dicatotor who refused to pay workers salaries and pensioneers for over 10 months and whoever raises an eyebrow is treated not just as enemy but with death threat and illegal detention .
